The vacuum tubes are made of special borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass has very high viscosity and crack resistance. The tube walls meet all standards and are made of 2,5 mm thick glass. This protects the tube from hail damage. During testing, vacuum tubes are subjected to impacts from a 30 mm diameter metal ball dropped from various heights.

Thanks to the absence of air, the tube has very low thermal conductivity. Most of the solar heat that has passed through the tube is not released back into the atmosphere even in very cold weather. Vacuum tubes are highly effective in various weather conditions and can withstand large temperature differences between the inside and outside of the tubes.

Several layers of coating serve to absorb the full visible spectrum and, most importantly, the infrared spectrum of radiation with a wavelength of 0.3 to 1.3 µm. This coating can withstand temperatures above 200⁰C while the outer glass remains cold. As a result, the heat tube has very high reliability and very simple, affordable maintenance throughout its service life.
